Let's continue the new series overview. At the same time, Jessica Jones premiered on Netflix the competition in Amazon release "The Man in the High Castle" this time based on Philip K. Dick book with the same title.
I have to admit I was waiting for it more than for Jessica Jones adaptation, as I read the book and was captivated by the idea. My first alternative universe reading.

If you don't know the book, the premise is we are in an alternative universe where Nazis win the WWII, and the USA is divided between Japan and Germany. It's already 1960... everything is different and in the book people find a book that says alternative story - that Germans lost the war. I saw the first full season, and it's maybe 1/3 of the book - I read it the long time ago. It's time to read it again.

Camera work, the feeling of the times, and the differences are beautifully done so if you are interested to try it out.

OMG I saw first trailers because I love comic book adaptations - and Netfilx and Marvel are doing it the right way.

It's dark, but it's also deep and layered. The main character is complicated, harsh, edgy and oh so perfectly played. She isn't perfect, she is as we all are, more damaged, fighting to live day to day.
The main cast is mostly women, which is refreshing, and all of them are successful. They are not heroes of heroes. They are heroes of everyday.

So the autumn had come and with it as usual the new bach of series. I watch a lot of them so here some very personal and subjective recommendations.

Today we start with Minority Report.
